COST CONTROLLER - DRILLING (JOB ID: 110)
This role will be situated in the Finance Department and will report to the Cost Control Manager
Activities:
HSE
· Knowledge of Company HSE policy, rules and procedures
· Participation to HSE activities and global improvement (e.g. referential, reporting, REX, audits, trainings, HSE action plans…)
Budgeting & Forecasting
· Assist the Business Analyst to prepare annual budget for the departments he’s in charge of, in close collaboration with the Managers of these departments – Assist the business Analyst during the Budget session presentations to Management
· Prepares revised forecast information based on latest headcount, vendor terms & conditions, work scope, etc
Month-end closure & Reporting
· Prepares all necessary SAP entries and documentation for the closure (receipts, manual accruals, cost allocations, etc.) to ensure accurate statements Verify with the contract compliance in his team if work with all staff to ensure appropriate passive or active timesheets reflect the correct project codes and charging basis is correctly done. This must be of a sufficient quality to pass stakeholder audits.
· Assist the Business Analyst to prepare monthly cost report with variance analysis to help budget owners manage their budgets / costs. Assist the Business Analyst to maintains cost KPIs.
· Assist the Business Analyst to ensure cost monitoring, review, and analysis for projects and that costs control measures are maintained from inception till project completion
Compliance
· Assist the Business Analyst to maintain up-to-date analytical structures in line with agreed Cost Control principles. Manage projects creation and close out.
· Promote a good P2P practice throughout the organisation (no invoices received without PO, approval of invoices in compliance with DOA, etc)
· Comply with provisions of contracts, JVA and Delegation of Authority
· Ensures cost monitoring for entities under his responsability, review, and analysis for projects and that costs control measures are maintained from inception till project completion
· Assist the Business Analyst to contributes to responses to audit queries and to resolution of audit exceptions (all stakeholders)
Other
Assist the Business Analyst to Ensure constant interface with manager/team in assisting and acting as primary focus for cost estimation, tracking and analysis
Profile required:
3-4 years Finance / Cost Control experience. Experience in a JV environment would be a plus.
Degree in accounting, Finance or other business related discipline
Good analytical skills
Good systems knowledge, especially SAP FI/CO, BW and Excel
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Fluent in English.
